Young fieldfare (Turdus pilaris / "gråtrost") taking its first steps into the world.
Around two weeks after hatching the young start to fledge, and both parents continue their feeding duties until the chicks are around a month old. This one was already out in the big world, but I also observed the parent feeding them on the ground, so I'd assume this one is between two and four weeks old.
Picture taken in July 2024, by Akerselva in the center of Oslo (Norway).
