About the picture

Gulliver is one of the herring gulls (Larus argentatus, "gråmåke" in Norwegian) living in our area, and his preferred spot is on our roof, preferably somewhere from where he can watch us inside. This picture was taken in October 2023, on the first snow day of the winter season.

Before this day, he mostly hung out on the chimney across the street or nextdoors, but we became acquainted while I was photographing crows, after which he decided to move a few meters, from the neighbor's roof to ours. 

This is one of the first pictures I have of our friend.
